We know that there is no good hair routine without shampoo, conditioner and mask. The latter is the guarantor of the health of the hair. And for good reason, it has nourishing, cleansing and restorative properties. Yes, but now, for it to be fully effective, the mask must be carefully selected. So which hair mask to choose for your hair?
The hair mask is a concentrate of benefits for the hair . It must be selected according to the type of hair and/or according to the problem to be treated.
- Normal hair
By normal hair, we mean hair that is neither too thin nor too thick. We prefer here a mask rich in nutrients in order to tone the hair fiber and strengthen the hair.
- Thin hair
We select a mask capable of nourishing the hair while giving it volume. If you also have dry or curly hair, the mask must also be particularly moisturizing. Tip: apply a mask for dry hair only on the ends and half-lengths, and leave for a few moments.
- Thick hair
If you have thick, dry hair, a mask based on vegetable oils (argan or coconut oil, for example) can nourish them and therefore soften them.
- Curly hair
It's not always easy to hydrate your curls! Here too vegetable oils (almond oil, argan oil, borage oil or organic shea butter) are the solution. They will allow the curls not to become too rough. The hair is nourished in depth, it retains its elasticity, its suppleness, and becomes more silky.
- Dry to very dry hair
No hesitation, we start with a repairing mask to deeply nourish and hydrate.
- Greasy hair
Clay is oily hair's worst enemy! So we opt for a mask based on green clay to gently purify the scalp. If it is mainly the roots that grease, apply the mask only to the ends and half-lengths.
- Damaged hair
Breakage, fall, thin ends… fragile and brittle hair requires repairing and fortifying masks. These nourish, regenerate, restructure, soften and smooth the hair. Result: they are easier to untangle and break less.
- Colored hair
There are masks dedicated to colors in order to preserve radiance and shine. Good to know: we treat the tips first because they dry out faster than the rest.
All that remains is to respect some little tricks to get the most out of your hair mask .
