How to remove a color that is too dark?
A color that is too dark, a drama that almost all of us have already faced. Fortunately, if colorings are sometimes capricious (link to article "Help, my color has changed during the summer") , they also know how to be forgiven. And for good reason, getting a color that is too dark out is really not rocket science. Shampoo, baking soda, mask... we take stock.
Is your color too dark for your taste? Then you need to set up a five-step disgorging routine.
Step 1: Don't panic, there are solutions to remove a color that is too dark
Take a deep breath and take the time to read the following lines! Effective solutions exist to quickly get back on track.
Step 2: Wash your hair every day with shampoo and baking soda
With daily washing, the coloring will gradually get closer to the desired color. One condition, however: use a moisturizing and nourishing anti-dandruff shampoo for colored hair. Anti-dandruff shampoo is in fact more detergent, which allows it to eliminate coloring agents more quickly (in 10-15 days on average). For maximum effectiveness, combine baking soda with shampoo. Simply mix the same proportion of shampoo and baking soda. Leave on for 2-3 minutes, then rinse.
Step 3: Apply a hydrating and nourishing mask
Twice a week for 10-15 days, apply a mask to deeply moisturize and prevent pigments from impregnating the hair. And why not opt for a natural, homemade mask ?
Two recipes among many others:
- Cinnamon powder and honey are mixed with water.
- Mix vegetable oil, olive oil, almond oil or hazelnut oil with a spoonful of honey and a tablespoon of fresh lemon juice.
Apply all over the hair, then rinse.
Step 4: Take a lemon zest
Mix water and lemon and spray the solution on your hair. Then let it air dry.
Step 5: Correct your coloring with your hairdresser
If you don't feel like setting up a routine to fade your color, you can also go to a hair salon. With highlights or balayage, a hairdresser can lighten your hair by adding a few touches of brightness.
